Private orders are often used for certain products, such as jewelry, electronics and fashion accessories, which are often shipped to a third party warehouse.
For example, the online retailer orders a $50 watch from a company that has a warehouse in Chicago.
It then ships the watch to Amazon, where it’s shipped to the buyer in the U.S. If the buyer doesn’t want the watch, he or she has the option to return the watch or pick it up elsewhere.
Amazon’s orders for private orders typically include items such as watches, jewelry, apparel, shoes and more.
The company doesn’t make it clear to the seller whether the item is considered a private order, private order e-commerce, private shipping or private order fulfillment.
Some companies also ship products directly to Amazon directly, which is known as “Amazon Direct.”
This option is only available to Amazon Prime members.
The retailer does not disclose the exact size of the order, the date or the payment method.
For Amazon Direct customers, Amazon provides shipping information through a customer service representative or through an online form.
The order is shipped within 24 hours of being placed.
A typical order can take anywhere from six to 14 business days to arrive.
Some online sellers also provide a delivery confirmation page and customer service representatives who respond to emails within 24 to 72 hours.
The Amazon customer service rep or the customer service agent will review the items and decide if they should be refunded.
Some of the most common reasons for refund requests are incorrect information, incorrect shipping details or incorrect credit card information.
If you get an order that is returned to Amazon and is not refunded, it could mean that Amazon is making a mistake or the buyer is ineligible for the item.
If a buyer can’t be reached for an explanation, Amazon will offer to refund the item to the payment processor.
If that process takes longer, Amazon may not be able to fulfill the refund request.
